Rumor has it SysMaster Corporation, a leading vendor of VoIP, IPTV & WiFi Solutions, is no more after being in business for over 10 years. The company downsized its US based staff earlier this month despite, from what we’ve heard, as having a profitable year.

There is however a silver lining to this story (pun intended). SysMaster has in fact, been taken over by Silver Line EOOD, a Bulgaria based company and it’s no coincidence the former owner of SysMaster & current owner of Silver Line are one in the same. As far as we know, Silver Line will continue developing & supporting the line of SysMaster products & has plans on expanding the business further.

The reason for the transition?
Down US economy? Management changes? Legal issues? Only Silver Line knows.

VoD is rapidly becoming EoD (everything on-demand) as operators beef up their streaming server capacity to support not only HD VoD, but network and RS-DVR services, targeted advertising, and start-over services, all of which will become standard features for video providers.
